Kevin Verleysen

PhD Student, PhD students

Kevin received his Master degree in industrial engineering in 2015, with a specialisation in renewable energy, at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. He later obtained his electromechanical engineering degree at the Brussels Faculty of Engineering (BRUFACE) in 2018. For his Master thesis, he investigated the robust optimisation of a full electric Haber-Bosch plant powered by a wind turbine to examine the feasibility of storing green hydrogen as an energy vector by converting it to ammonia.

Research Interests

In his current study as a PhD student, he continues the idea of his Master thesis by investigating the flexible production of green ammonia for energy transportation, storage and power generation applications. To accomplish this, he mainly focuses on the modelling and the robust optimisation of the Haber-Bosch process in Aspen Plus.
