Kévin Bioche graduated form the INSA Rouen Normandy engineering school in 2015. He then joined the team of Luc Vervisch, at CORIA lab (Rouen), as a PhD student. In 2018, he defended a thesis on the numerical study of small scale combustion which was part of a national project in partnership with the Ecole Centrale Paris, where corresponding experiments were led. He was subsequently a research and teaching fellow in the teams of L.Vervisch and Vincent Moureau. Since 2020 he’s working as a postdoc at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) in the research group FLOW and at Université de Mons (UMons) to work on the federal project BEST.
Kévin Bioche works on the numerical simulation of turbulent and reactive flows. The caracterisation of combustion systems performances is at the center of his activities. His journey also drove him to investigate the use of machine learning algorithms for fluid mechanics modelling.
