Greeshma obtained her Master of Science in Aerodynamics from Technische Universiteit Delft in 2018 with a graduation thesis on the optimisation of the unsteady aerodynamic performance of a 2D VAWT rotor with emphasis on the airfoil design. She joined the FLOW research group in April of 2019 as a PhD student.

Research Interests

Greeshma's research is focused on the computational fluid dynamic (CFD) simulation of paired vertical axis wind turbine rotors(VAWTs). During experiments, a synchronisation behaviour was observed between a pair of VAWTs. The main aim of her work is to understand the dynamics of the paired VAWTs and the nature and physics of this synchronisation behaviour. Along with this, she will also explore the effect of the synchronisation and the oscillations involved in the synchronisation behaviour on power production.
