Afraz Mehmood Chaudhry received the B.E. degree in Electronics Engineering from AIR University Islamabad and the M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology Taxila, Pakistan, in 2006 and 2012, respectively. He started his career as a Load and Dispatch Engineer at the National Power Control Center in Pakistan and then joined the Center of Excellence in Engineering Sciences to conduct research on clean energy convertible systems. The last six years, he has been actively involved in control oriented modeling, parameter estimation, and the robust control and optimization of Underground Coal Gasification processes. In Feb 2020, he started a PhD at the VUB on smart thermal grids.
